Exploration Understanding Compassion & Personal Responsibility Global Consciousness Collective and Productive Action |
InSPIRE strives to:
-
Create a space and open up avenues to look deeper at India, deeper at ourselves,
and the interconnectedness of the world.
-
Enable us to explore India through a new lens, where we engage in mutual learning and sharing with each other, various communities, movements, and
NGOs.
During the program, we will primarily be experiencing issues that will lead us to explore ourselves. Self-exploration will be done through sessions, activities, interactions, self-reflection, self-enquiry, and responsible action. In building an understanding of ourselves, our aspirations, and our relation with the world around us, we venture on a journey of growing compassion and development of enlightened personal responsibility in the hope to lay the foundation for a more global consciousness.
The program also builds a fluid network of young South Asians professionals who will be able to continually share ideas, visions, thoughts and friendships. We foresee the intrinsic feeling of personal responsibility, a fresh perspective on global issues, and a network of dynamic young professionals leading towards positive collective action.
Tangibly, we see our participants exploring a wide range of options in the future. While some of our participants may choose to return to India to do extended service work, others may select their career or graduate school path based on their new insights and worldview. Still others may explore paths which are not already paved, and use existing skills and talents in ways we could never anticipate. Ultimately, we envision all participants closely examining their own lifestyle, choices, and options, and therefore making responsible adjustments. Participants will gain valuable experience that will, enable them to inspire their friends, family, and colleagues. We strive to open avenues so our participants can see the infinite possibilities that lie ahead of them, can responsibly and mindfully engage these options, and are inspired to act for positive change.
